For my first podcast of the year I sat down with my colleague Steve Eide to talk about fiscally distressed cities. Steve has been of the view that states should be more interventionist in distressed city finances. He recently co-authored a paper making that argument, especially that city officials shouldn’t manage the any bankruptcy process.
